The original directive of the company was to help advance the switchgear technology of third world countries. Over the following years, Elmecon has increased its customer base to predominantly include many of the large technically advanced switchgear manufacturers around the world.
Elmecon's switchgear design and consultation service covers all aspects of industrial switchgear, including medium and low voltage solutions. Based in Nottingham in the UK, Elmecon has a highly trained team of engineers, who have undertaken work for a vast number of the major switchgear manufacturers across the globe.

Trevor Marshall
Technical Director
Trevor joined Brush Electrical Engineering Ltd Loughborough in 1971 as a technical apprentice, joining Brush Switchgear Ltd in 1973 to complete a five year apprenticeship. Trevor was involved with design and development and certification of the first FV type vacuum circuit breakers produced by Brush.
Trevor led the design teams on 7.2kV motor control-gear Hawkvac 6 and 12kV VMH vacuum switchgear. Trevor was engineer-in-charge of design, development and certification process on 12kV VMV switchgear.
Following the formation of Elmecon Ltd in 1990, Trevor has led Elmecon through 30 years of design, development and testing for companies of all sizes worldwide.
Dai Roberts
Project Director
Dai joined Brush Switchgear Loughborough in 1975 and was primarily involved with the RMU range of switchgear moving up the ranks to engineer-in-charge of the RMU division until 1986.The following years, Dai worked alongside Trevor Marshall before joining forces to form Elmecon Ltd in 1990.
With over 40 years' experience in the switchgear industry, Dai heads up the design team for Elmecon as project director.
